Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded nutrition program that helps ensure children and adults in care settings receive healthy, balanced meals and snacks. The program provides reimbursement to eligible child care and adult care providers who meet meal pattern and program requirements.

CACFP supports nutrition, routine, and consistency in care settings while helping providers offset the cost of serving nutritious food. Participation in the program strengthens care environments and supports the health and well-being of those served.
Hi-Line Home Programs serves as a CACFP sponsor contracted with the State of Montana. As a sponsor, we work directly with childcare providers to help them participate successfully in the program.
Our role includes:
  • Supporting enrollment and program setup
  • Providing guidance on meal patterns and requirements
  • Offering ongoing technical assistance and monitoring
  • Serving as a local point of contact for questions and support

We work alongside providers to help them understand expectations and stay in compliance, while keeping the process as straightforward as possible.
